The location.

Big Whiskey Cattle Co. is tucked away in Shenandoah Valley. Virginia’s weather has been described as “Goldilock’s climate” – not too hot and not too cold. The perfect weather for growing great grass, every rancher’s dream.

The Ranchers.

Paul & Ruth are first generation cattle ranchers. Both of their dads grew up on dairy farms.They've always loved agriculture. After they met in a country line dancing/karaoke bar in Alexandria, VA they quickly started chasing the big dream of owning land and raising cattle. It's a family affair with the kids pitching in everyday. It truly is a wonderful life.

The beef.

Incredibly proud to offer pasture raised dry-aged Hereford beef. The Hereford breed is hallmarked by their docile nature. We raise and finish our beef to the highest standards, grassfed their entire lives with additional free choice oats and barley finishing for an end product that tastes delicious and is really good for you.
