This isn’t our typical beef, this is a side project we’ve had. Raising longhorn beef on 100% pasture - grass-fed and finished. No hormones or antibiotics, etc. Good lean, organic longhorn beef takes time and that’s what we’ve done here. We expect each half to be 200 pounds, so $10/pound for pure grass-fed beef.

We’ve all learned about the uncertainly of supply chains, there has never been a better time to establish relationships with local food sources. We’d love to be your beef rancher!

Our 1/2 beef is 45% ground beef, 20% steaks, 35% roasts and other cuts. You get to customize your half! I’ll send you a cut sheet to fill out so you can customize your thickness of steaks, preferences on roasts - all kind of wonderful customizations. I’ll send you our BW standard cut sheet and yours to change - don’t worry, it’s fun! I’ll help you.

AVAILABILITY

This beef is waiting for a buyer and then I'll schedule a harvest date so could be as early as a few weeks or a month or two - so I’d say latest February. You can pick up from the ranch in White Post anytime or we’ll deliver your beef for $75 to your doorstep! (NOVA, local to White Post - 50 miles)

How Much Freezer Space Will You Need?

The rule of thumb is one cubic foot of freezer space for every 35 – 40 pounds of packaged meat. A half beef needs about 8 cubic feet. You should plan for at least 16-17 cu.ft. freezer space for a whole beef. This will also vary a little bit with the freezer design. Needed freezer space varies with the choice of cuts and packaged weights also.
